VICTORY ROSTER

Post by Chelsea Skye on Sept 7, 2021 18:43:25 GMT
The first Victory had come and gone and whilst Chelsea had put in an impressive showing in her Battle Royal, she got caught up in the moment and was eliminated by William Blake Mason for her mistake! Her boyfriend Ross Hanson would end up fairing even worse however, being one of the first people eliminated from the third match on the card but these setbacks weren’t about to stop the young couple.
Especially since they were teaming together in the Main Event of Victory II against the husband and wife duo of Damien and Tara Ayla! Tara was the winner of Chelsea’s match having last eliminated William following his elimination of Chelsea whilst Damien had won the Excellence Championship but only after Kayla Richards interfered and cost their mutual friend/matchmaker Betsy Granger the match! There was quite a bit of animosity between the teams, but can the young couple overcome the husband and wife duo?
Kindred Hospital, Chicago, Illinois Friday the 22nd of November 2019, 11:00am
I don’t remember a lot after the crash, I remember the impact of the drunk driver’s car colliding with Justin’s sure, but after that I blacked out and when I next woke up, I was in a hospital bed surrounded by my older sisters, I instinctively went to sit up, but Chloe put her hand on my shoulder.
“Take it easy Chelsea, you’re still banged up from the crash.” Chloe told me and as if by magic, the pain started to kick in at that point. “To be honest, we weren’t sure if you were going to wake up again for a while there?”
”How long was I out? I asked as I eased myself back into a laying position and Chloe thought for a moment.
“Two days tops, they were talking about putting you in a coma when you started to stir.” Chloe explained and my other sisters nodded to confirm this. “Do you remember anything from that crash?”
“All I remember was just chatting shit with Justin, then the other car collided with his and…….” I trailed off as it hit me and I eased myself back up. “Where’s Justin? Is he alright? He made it, right?”
“Chelsea, I would say “you’d better sit down for this” but that’s a moot point.” Liz chimed in with a sigh as she lowered her head. “I’m sorry, you were the only survivor of the crash from Justin’s car.”
”W……..what?!” I stammered as it hit me like a ton of bricks. ”No, you’re lying, he can’t be dead!” I demanded as I started to run my hand through my long hair. ”Right?” I asked but when I saw the looks on my sisters’ faces, I knew they weren’t lying. ”Where’s mom and dad?”
“They’ve been busy making funeral arrangements, I left them a text to let them know that you’re awake, but they haven’t replied.” Toni responded as I felt my tears welling up in my eyes. “I didn’t want to say it, but I think they’re blaming you for his death.”
”But that’s bullshit!” I snapped at her before I went to move my leg, unsuccessfully. ”What the hell happened to my leg?!” I asked once I saw how heavy the cast was that was around my leg.
“The crash happened, and your leg was broken in four places when they brought you in.” Toni explained and I turned to her. “It’s saveable, but it’ll take months of painful rehabilitation for you to be able to walk on it without crutches.”
”And there goes my dream of competing in the Olympics!” I grunted in response before I thought for a moment. ”At least tell me they caught the other driver?”
“He didn’t get far, mostly because it was a drunk driver.” Chloe explained and I nodded as I got the idea. “His Breathalyzer test was over three times the legal limit, there’s no way in hell he should’ve been allowed behind the wheel, but he is in custody.”
”Finally, some good fucking news!” I grunted before folding my arms. ”I won’t get another chance to compete in the Olympics for another four years, Justin’s dead, what the hell am I supposed to do now? Beyond waiting for my leg to heal up?”
“We’ll figure something out once we’re at the end of your rehabilitation, but this isn’t the end of the road for you Chelsea.” Toni assured me and I glanced over at her. “I’m sure of it.”
”You just had to use the road analogy after I survived a car crash, didn’t you?”[/b I grunted in annoyance before leaning back. ”To be honest? Between my leg injury and Justin’s death? My head’s to much of a mess to think straight, either that or I’ve got a concussion.”
“You are right on one thing because you did get a concussion from the crash.” Toni told me and I gave my sister a dirty look. “But no matter what, we’ll be here for you Chelsea.”
”Thanks, I think I’ll need it!” I sighed before staring at the ceiling for a while after that.
Driving through Chicago, Illinois Wednesday the 1st of September 2021, 16:00pm
I get that dream whilst being driven by my boyfriend, typical!
I had a lot to think about after the first Victory, but one thing was clear, just because I lost my first match in PWE didn’t mean I was done with the company, I’m still young, I only got eliminated because I got caught up in the moment and William Blaze Mason too advantage of it, any other reason?
Oh yeah, the man who’s currently driving my car!
The story of how my relationship with Ross started would probably be a funny story to tell the grandkids once we’ve hung up the wrestling boots for good but right now, I was figuring out how to explain how it all started to my older sisters, my parents? Well, I go out of my way to avoid them anyway so it’s not like they are at the top of my priority list.
”Chels, are we getting close?” My day dream was interrupted by said boyfriend and after I rubbed my tired eyes. ”Hey, I know we've been driving forever...but I didn't know we had enough time for you to take a nap.”
”Sorry Ross, I guess I just dozed off.” I responded with a yawn before I started to gain my bearings, once I had a good look around the area I nodded. ”Yeah, we’re close to the café, finding a parking spot shouldn’t be that hard.” I added before glancing over at my boyfriend, any other day Ross looked like the kind of man that a girl from a “good Christian family” wouldn’t bring home to meet the parents unless they wanted to piss off said parents without going for an interracial relationship but to Ross’s credit, he had made the effort to clean himself up in preparation for meeting my sisters. ”How’s mini-human doing anyway?”
”Having fun with Uncle Leglock...I'm sorry, Ken.” Ross nodded as we pulled up to the café. ”Do you see them?” Ross asked, and I looked out the car window before grinning.
”Yep, there at the table in the far corner towards the back.” I responded as I pointed out the table to him and Ross nodded as he spotted the café and I directed him towards the parking lot in the back. ”And in the interest of transparency, the only thing I’ve told them is that you’re a fellow wrestler in PWE who I happened to hit it off with, not that far off from the truth but I didn’t include any specifics.” I explained to Ross as I unbuckled my seatbelt. ”I haven’t told them about mini-human, or that party in the parking lot at the last OCW show, hell I haven’t even mentioned the rent-a-boyfriend incident that snowballed into a real relationship between us!”
”You figured it would be easier to explain in person, right?” Ross asked as he got the idea and I nodded in response. ”I know your older sisters are Christians and all that, but I thought you said that they are a lot more reasonable than your parents?”
”And they are, however saying that they are more reasonable than my parents is not really saying much.” I admitted as I ran a hand through my hair. ”There’s a good reason why I’m in no hurry to introduce you to my parents, then again, it’s not like I haven’t done enough to get on their badside.”
”They can’t be that bad, right?” Ross asked and I shook my head in response. ”They are your parents after all. I mean, mine gave me up before I was even born.”
”Ross, I hope to the metal gods that I don’t have to explain this to you again, but they blamed me for Justin’s death because I was in the car with him!” I responded with a grunt and Ross winced. ”They didn’t even wait until Justin’s body was in a coffin before they blamed me, they even went as far as to bar me from attending me brother’s funeral!” I added before letting out a sigh when I saw the shocked look on his face. ”In turn, I blame them for my mental health issues that were only made worse by those accusations, I still don’t know why I haven’t cut off all contact with them.”
”If they are as nasty as you say, then I’m in no hurry to meet them either.” Ross assured me before he got out of the car and I followed him out. ”We’d better not keep your sisters waiting any longer!”
”Agreed, let’s go!” I nodded in response before following Ross to the interior of the café.
“Chelsea, over here!” Liz called out to me once she spotted me and Ross entering the café and I grinned before leading Ross to where my sisters were seated. “And this must be Ross, right? I’ll admit, he wasn’t what I pictured when you told us that you had a boyfriend?”
”What? Were you expecting some generic long haired metalhead?” I asked with a grin before we took out seats. ”It wasn’t exactly love at first site though, at first we had a bit of a rivalry over Denzel Porter’s Best Hair list.”
”We still debate over what was saltier, the ocean or Chelsea after finishing below me on the list.” Ross chimed in and my sisters laughed whilst I gave him a playful glare. ”Anyway, yeah I’m Ross, I’m from Columbus and I’m a year younger than Chelsea, though I have been wrestling since I was eighteen.”
“Really? I thought 21 was the minimum age to train to be a wrestler?” Chloe asked with a confused look on her face, and I shook my head.
”It depends on the school Chloe, the Go Gym’s minimum age was eighteen but other places have it higher.” I explained and Chloe nodded as she got the idea. ”Ross is different though, his family has been in the business before.”
”I should really stress that I don’t have the best relationship with said family.” Ross interjected and we turned to him. ”It’s a long story but to put it perspective, I impersonated my masked biological father when I was still new to the business, even though he’s supposed to be dead.”
”What can I say? The wrestling business can be crazy sometimes!” I responded with a nervous laugh when I saw the looks on my sister’s faces before leaning in to Ross’s ear. ”Ross, change subject, NOW!” I whispered to him through gritted teeth hoping to divert the conversation to literally anywhere else, well, anywhere but my brief foray into porn since we’re in public and all.
”Huh? Oh, right, right.” Ross responded before clearing his throat. ”So, Chelsea told me that she and her brother were twins, what about you guys?”
“Oh, we’re not triplets if that’s what you’re asking.” Toni (apparently as relieved for the quick change of subject as I was) responded with a sigh of relief. “But we weren’t born that far apart either, Liz is the oldest at twenty eight, I’m in the middle at twenty five and Chloe is the second youngest at twenty three, our parents didn’t really plan for Chelsea and Justin but it just kinda happened a year after Chloe was born.” Toni added before seeing the look I was giving her. “And I’m in no way implying that we see Chelsea as an accident, our parents though?”
”Yeah, I’ve already explained the strained relationship I have with them, don’t want to explain it again.” I nodded in response with an annoyed look on my face before shaking my head. ”I know I keep changing the subject but I really, REALLY don’t want to bring the tone of this meeting crashing down!”
“On that, we’re agreed Chelsea!” Liz nodded in agreement before she turned to Ross. “So Ross, we already know a little about you, so why don’t you tell us more about yourself?”
"I'm a wrestler and I've never really been much else. I don't even feel like a good wrestler anymore, but I really don't have a backup plan." Ross explained as he shifted his weight. ”Me and Chelsea signed up for PWE at around the same time, I realize this could come off as stalkerish but from the moment I saw Chelsea, I just felt a connection.”
”He tried being subtle about it on Twitter but I quickly found out that Ross has the subtlety of a Nuclear Bomb when it comes to love.” I added with a teasing grin to Ross before sighing. ”We ended up as rivals on Denzel’s best hair list like I said, but then Denzel announced the Best Girlfriends list and I remembered that the closest I’ve come to love is either those blind dates you guys set me up on or that wild week in Vegas, Ross initially suggested being a rent-a-boyfriend as a joke and I went with it, then we realized that we had a genuine connection.”
“Renting a boyfriend for some list only to find out that your actually in love with him? That’s certainly a……..” Chloe trailed off as she tried to find the right words. “Unique way to start the relationship, heck of a lot easier than the blind date route.”
“At least this guy didn’t ask for a three-way within seconds of finding out about Chelsea’s bi-sexuality.” Liz chimed in and I shook my head as I thought back to the worst and shortest date I’ve ever been on. “At least she didn’t go for a single dad or anything………” Me and Ross winced simultaneously, and my sisters shared a look. “He’s a single dad, isn’t he?”
It was at that point that Ross got his phone out and searched through it. ”We were hoping to ease you three into this but yeah, I’m a single dad.” Ross explained before showing them a pic of mini-human. ”His mother isn’t in the picture, that’s complicated and a long story, but he’s about to turn four.”
I wasn’t sure what reaction I was expecting from my sisters, I knew that they wanted to have kids but because they were abstinent, they were waiting until marriage before they were even thinking about having kids and to be fair, Liz is the closest of the three to that goal since she got engaged the week before my PWE debut, however any sceptical or worried looks they had on their faces quickly melted away when they saw mini-human’s pic.
“Aww, he’s precious!” Chloe cooed when she saw mini-human’s pic. “But Chelsea, are you sure your ready for such a responsibility? Not just because of your youth but because of your mental health?”
”To be honest? I’m not sure, I thought I could handle it at first and we got along well when we first met but I guess I’ve got some lingering doubt over it now.” I responded as I let out a deep breath. ”I know I’m going to be the kid’s stepmom if me and Ross ever get married, Ross made that clear to me after I met him and as Ross said his biological mom isn’t really in the picture and to be honest? I’m not sure what the situation is with her.”
”All I’m going to say is that it’s unlikely that his mom will ever come back into the picture, I am confident that Chelsea can do it.” Ross chimed in and my three sisters nodded.
“We’ll be there to help along the way if you do get married, don’t worry about it.” Chloe assured us and I grinned in response before we ordered our food at long last.

*promo time*
Things didn’t go quite as planned.
”I’m not about to sit here and lie to you, my PWE debut didn’t go as planned! Not only did me and Ross not even get past the Battle Royal stage, but I let the chance of winning the Battle Royal slip through my fingers by getting caught up in the moment and leaving myself open to elimination from William Blake Mason! However I did say from the start that I had no real illusions about becoming the first Excellence Champion, I’m a rookie in a new fed mostly filled with veterans of the industry, I knew I was jumping into the deep end when I signed that contract!”
I stated before sighing.
”Instead, I set out to leave my name on the tips of everyone’s tongues and by the end of my time in the Battle Royal I think I did just that! I had managed to win the hearts and minds of the fans through my wrestling style but that won’t be enough at the second Victory! The time for making a name for myself is over and the time for me to start picking up wins has begun and if I thought I was thrown into the deep-end before then I may as well do a cannonball into the ocean because I’m in the Main Event of the second Victory teaming up with my boyfriend Ross to tale on the Excellence Champion Damien Ayla and his wife Tara!”
Yeah, that was a thing that happened.
”Honestly? If I was told that before I had my first match with PWE I would find a boyfriend who also happened to be a wrestler in a way that most Romantic Comedy writers shake their heads in disbelief I’d have a hard time believing you and yet, here I am! Dating Ross Hanson in a relationship that went from zero to a hundred so fast that it broke several land speed records! I can’t help but think that Charlie and Ophelia saw our blossoming relationship and thought “wait, don’t we have a married couple on our roster” and then booked this match and the fact that Damien won the Excellence Championship couldn’t have hurt either!”l
Am I worried?
”Which begs the question, am I worried? No, no I’m not! Damien only won the Excellence Championship after Kayla interfered in the Nain Event and if he can’t fight his own battles where it matters most, what hope does he have against two young, hardworking wrestlers who happen to be the hottest couple in wrestling right now? And Tara? You only won our Battle Royal because William had his back turned after eliminating me, do you think you can handle me in the ring?”
Survey says?
”I’m going to say no, because we didn’t really interact a lot in the battle royal did we Tara? The way I see it? This match will show the world that the Aylas are a pair of choke artists and when it matters most, they can’t get the job done and if the tournament was any indication then this won’t take long at all, Damien Ayla may be the first Excellence Champion but wouldn’t it be a shame if the Excellence Champion got pinned or submitted by someone who’s in their first full year as a wrestler?”
It’s that simple.
“Someone like “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye perhaps? As a former Olympic Level Gymnast, I can fly with the best of them and leave jaws on the ground but there’s also the submission side of me that’s yet to come out and I’ll admit that submissions aren’t my strong point even if one of my finishers is a submission hold, but Ross has been training me in the art of submission wrestling and if we can work out the kinks in our armour, we’ll be damn near unstoppable! Damien, Tara, the two of you are probably heading into this match thinking that you’ve got it in the bag!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
”Damien, Tara, I’m warning you now, underestimate me and Ross at your own peril! Otherwise? The new Excellence Champion might just lose his first match as champion to a rookie in her first full year! Not really a good luck for the first champion in the promotion is it? Love is in the air and so am I because my name is “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye and once that bell rings, the Skyes the Limit!”
After I did my pose I went to check my Twitter feed as the scene fades.
