"Going for Gold!”

Chelsea’s first PWE match of 2023 ended in defeat for her as she lost too Nathanial Dixon but Chelsea had experienced great success outside of PWE not only winning the Havoc World Heavyweight Championship but winning the CEW Overdrive Championship in a rematch against Azurine Vebbins, Chelsea was looking to continue that lucky streak at the next Victory as she was taking on the Irish wrestler Lachlan Kaine, as an Irish American herself Chelsea did have quite a bit in common with Lachlan but she was out for her first win of the year in PWE, can she do it?

Saturday the 4th of February 2023, 18:00pm

Just a couple of months ago I was struggling to win even ONE title, now? I’ve got two!

The Havoc Wrestling World Title and the CEW Overdrive Championship were both resting on the passage side seat in my car as I drove through Chicago, mostly because I didn’t feel like causing a traffic accident by trying to wear both titles at once whilst driving but at every traffic light I did stop to look at my new titles and grin to myself knowing that 2023 was already proving to be a major improvement over 2022.

And as long as Sarah remembers that I don’t want her parading around my titles things will continue the upward trajectory.

Aside from that I also have other wrestling commitments on my mind, more specifically PWE and my eternal quest to win gold in the first major promotion to sign me, at least my upcoming match against Lachlan Kaine had the potential to turn things around for me in a big way but we’ll have to wait and see about that! Regardless it should be a great match since we’re both hard working fighting Irish!

Okay I’m Irish-American and never really been to Ireland whilst Lachlan was born in Ireland but you get the idea!

As I pulled up to the driveway I saw Sarah waiting for me with a big grin on her face, I had hoped to surprise her with my new title but then I remembered that she watched every match I took part in and got out the car once I had parked up.

”I’d ask you to help with the titles but I don’t trust you to not start parading them around like you own them!” I deadpanned as I got out the car and Sarah just shook her head with a chuckle, I then moved around to the passenger side door to retrieve my titles resting them both on my shoulder. ”Besides, they both look much better on me!”

”Whatever you say bottom!” Sarah teased me and I rolled my eyes before Sarah moved towards the front door and opened it, seconds later our Black Labrador Valkyrie came racing out of the door with her tail wagging and ready to greet me as only a Labrador could. ”Seriously though, congrats Chelsea! I know you’ve worked hard for the titles over the past year!”

”That doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface and you know it.” I responded with a laugh before another car pulled up, one that I recognized as belonging to my oldest sister Liz, mostly because she had the fanciest car out of me, Chloe and Liz thanks to her being a cancer specialist at the hospital! Sure enough my eight-year-old autistic niece Nattie hopped out the car followed by her mother.

“Chelsea, we just saw the news on your twitter!” Liz said as she came over to me with a big grin on her face and before I knew it, she was hugging me. “Congrats on the win Chels!” Liz added and I would’ve hugged her back if not for one problem. “No hug back?”

”Hugging is awkward enough when your holding one title over your shoulder, never mind two!” I responded with a laugh before reluctantly giving both of my titles to Sarah so I could hug my older sister properly. ”I’m guessing Chloe and Toni are on their way over as well?”

“Yeah, Chloe’s shift as part of her restaurant’s prep team ended about twenty minutes ago and Toni’s lessons for the day just ended, they’ll be here in no time.” Liz nodded in response and I grinned before I turned my attention to Valkyrie at first so the doggo didn’t feel left out and then to Nattie who had an even bigger grin on her face than me! “And yes, Nattie was celebrating the loudest when you won the title!”

“I knew you could do it Chelsea!” Nattie added with a big grin on her face and whilst I tried my best to ignore the opportune licks from Valkyrie I did take the time to ruffle up Nattie’s hair. ”Auntie Chloe has a big celebration planned!”

”I bet she does!” I responded with a grin before I stood up and looked around, oh god damn it. ”SARAH?!”

”And Sarah Blaze is the double champion of the world!” Sarah declared and I was already marching after her before she got too far down the path, pretty much the only thing preventing ANOTHER argument was the fact that Nattie was here and Sarah loved her almost as much as she loved me, well, without the more intimate parts obviously but considering Nattie’s still in the single digits and Sarah’s only a couple of months younger than me? Yeah, that should go without saying!

Long story short? Sarah surrendered the titles back to me without much fuss.

Guess who’s champ? Champ again!

”ONE, TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS! HA, HA, HA. HA!” I declared in a mock count voice before clearing my throat. ”Okay I’m not going to parody the Count from Sesame Street for the whole promo! For one thing I don’t feel like being sued by Sesame Workshop but you know what I do feel like doing? WINNING! MORE! TITLES!” I added as I showed off the CEW Overdrive Championship and the Havoc Wrestling World Title in that order. ”And yes I know I need to start winning matches first! I’m getting to that! And you want to where that road starts? Lachlan Kane at the next PWE Victory!”

This will be good!

”Lachlan, you’re a guy who’s been around for a bit longer than me! Granted the fact that I’ve only been wrestling for four years now means that there’s not many names that doesn’t apply too but you get the idea! But this is also your first PWE Match of the year which means that you want to kick the year off with a bang, right?” I asked before resting a title on my lap and so I could flip some hair over my shoulder. ”Sorry but the only bangs that happen in a wrestling ring where I’m involved as those that end with me winning! There’s also the X-Rated kinda bang but you can go to PornHub if you want to find that!”

Now that the obvious joke is out of the way?

”Yeah, sorry! I had to get that joke out of my system! Lachlan, I know you are a hell of a wrestler but my tenacity in the ring is practically unmatched by this point! Just ask Solomon Crowe and Azurine Vebbins, AKA the guys I beat to win these titles and they’ll tell you the same thing!” I added before patting both titles. ”But whilst the CEW Overdrive Championship is a title I’ve been chasing for the better half of a year and the Havoc Wrestling World Title represents a major achievement for me as a wrestler, I’m not just satisfied with these two titles, I want more and just because we share some Irish ancestry Lachlan doesn’t mean I’m going to take it easy on you!”

It's that simple.

”I say some because, well, my family is Irish but I’ve never been there! Maybe that’ll change in 2023, who knows? But here’s one thing I do know! I’m coming for gold!” I added as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”And that long hard path gold can only be traversed by winning matches! Lachlan you are the first of many who happen to stand in my path and you won’t be the last, nor will you be the last to taste defeat!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”I said 2023 is going to be my year and I’m already proving it! Proof’s in the pudding bitches and before long I’ll have enough championship gold to dive into it Scrooge McDuck style!” I added with a massive grin on my face. ”Only without the horrifying injuries that would come from diving into a pool of solid gold! Don’t act like you haven’t seen that Family Guy joke! Anyway Lachlan, you may be a hell of a talent but unless you Watch the Skyes above for “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye you will soon learn that the Skyes the Limit!”
