“Dying for an Angel!”

Chelsea picked up the submission victory over Sapphire in their singles contest but things were far from settled between the two women! At the next Victory show they were set to do battle again only this time there was a third person involved, namely Angel! And just to throw a bit of extra spice in the mix, the winner of this Triple Threat Match would be on to challenge for the Victory Championship! Can Chelsea go two for two?

Things seem to finally be going my way.

Why do I say that? Oh, I don’t know, I won my last PWE Match against Sapphire Delgado and aside from PWE I am still the International Champion in Rev1 and my Level Up career is going well enough, so yeah, I think things are definitely going in my direction.

Off course, there’s always the possibility that all those things will come crashing down but I’ll worry about that when it happens.

And that brings me to my next PWE Match and wouldn’t you know it? I’ve got Sapphire “Florida woman” Delgado again! Only this time there’s a third person in the match, namely Angel and the winner will get a shot at the Victory Championship.

So yeah, I can’t afford to lose this match if I want to keep the momentum going.

”Hope you guys didn’t miss me too much whilst I was spending some time with my sisters.” I greeted my bandmates as they started getting warmed up, our touring schedule was going at a steady pace leaving me with plenty of time to wrestle and considering that I’ll be working Tara Fenix’s next charity event in October I definitely have a lot of things on my mind right now. ”Sarah will be coming in shortly, so, you guys get into much mischief whilst I was away?”

“Not much, just more band practice and throwing around ideas for album number three.” Julian admitted and I have him a surprised look since it wasn’t that long ago that we had released Church of the Red Harvest, we did an album release show and everything! “Nothing concrete, just some ideas for lyrics and stuff, we couldn’t even agree on an album title.”

”Since neither me nor Sarah got a text about album number three, I’m guessing you guys didn’t go with our standard way of sorting out arguments, namely Cards against Humanity.” I commented as I started getting my guitar out of its case and my bandmates nodded before Sarah entered the room behind me. ”Besides, if we’re going to discuss solid ideas for album number three I’d rather be present for it! I was the one who proposed the idea of forming this band!”

“Yeah, we figured, hence why we didn’t write any ideas down.” Taylor responded as my guitar teacher started tuning up her guitar. “One idea we did discuss was what style we would go for in album number three, either the more thrashy style of Swamp Witch Cult or more straight up old school death metal.”

”Just don’t let twitter hear you say that because we’ll end up including more flute sections than you can shake a stick at.” Sarah responded with a teasing grin and I rolled my eyes in response. ”Are you guys ready for another bit of band practice?”

“I’m ready when you are, unless Chelsea wants to do her guitar lesson done with Taylor first.” Trent responded and I glanced over at Taylor who shrugged her shoulders.

“I’m good either way but let’s get the lesson done first.” Taylor told me and I noddedbefore we started our guitar lesson.

Here we go again.

”Here I was thinking that my time facing PWE’s resident Florida Woman Sapphire Delgado would end after I kicked her ass in my last PWE match but nope! Apparently the bosses can’t get enough of my Florida Woman jokes because I’m facing her again this week but there’s a twist, it’s a Triple Threat Match, the third person in the match is Angel and the winner of the match will get a shot at the Victory Championship!”

Yeah, just a minor difference.

”It’s almost like the PWE higher ups looked at the Florida woman joke I made during the build-up for my first match against Sapphire and went “jokes on you, I’m into that shit!” when I realized that I only had enough material for like, four paragraphs on dialogue! But hey at least Angel’s presence in this match means that I’m not going to run out of material for that joke anytime soon, right? Good thing Angel’s from New York because I think that joke would’ve run out of steam quickly if I was facing two Florida women in the same match! Whatever, let’s get this promo started!”

Guess who I’m starting with! Second guess doesn’t count.

”Florida Woman doesn’t learn from first encounter with Nightmare Angel, goes for round two! Yeah Sapphire I’m starting with you, why? Because between you and Angel, you’re the only one I’ve faced! And honestly Sapphire, what makes you think that the second time will be the charm? Because I kicked your ass pretty decisively on the last episode of Victory but I guess you share something in common with the bosses because you’re into that shit!”

It boggles the mind.

”Florida woman claims that she didn’t hear no bell after first ass kicking at Nightmare Angel’s hands, and feet, and aerial offence, and submission prowess and you get the idea! If you want to go for round two with me Sapphire then that’s on you because I like it rough in three-ways! Wait, no, I didn’t mean the sexual kind of three-ways, for once! I swear I spend one week doing porn and it follows me into my wrestling career!”

Moving on.

”Florida woman doesn’t take the hint that she’s not in the Nightmare Angel’s league, yeah I’d say that just about sums it up, would you? “The Florida Bitch” as a nickname may have sounded cool on paper but in practice it’s opened you up to ridicule from anyone who knows about the crazy shit that goes on in Florida and more importantly Sapphire, it’s opened you to two ass-kickings in a row from me!”

Next up is Angel.

”I’d almost be tempted to leave it there but nope, I’ve got a third opponent in this thing and her name’s Angel, and no the irony of a woman with the nickname “Nightmare Angel” beating up a woman called Angel isn’t lost on me! Now that I’ve got the obvious joke aside, if you remove the Florida Woman from this match then it’d be a case of two women who made their mainstream wrestling debuts in 2021 going at it, but there’s one key difference between us Angel and I don’t mean the fact that you’re from New York and I’m from Chicago, nor do I mean the fact that my city produces the best pizza in America!”

Yeah, I’ll die on that hill.

”You fight for bloodlust and glory whilst I fight for fame and passion, which basically means that you’ll go the extra mile to fuck up me and Sapphire, in fact I can see the headlines no, “Florida Woman claims that she was assaulted by two angels at a wrestling event”, see I told you I had more material! But if the match doesn’t come down to it being between me and Sapphire and instead comes down to it being between us Angel, who will win out?”

Me.

”Sorry Angel but there’s only one angel who’s ascending to the glory of a Victory Championship shot and that’s me! Because whilst your name is meant to mean you’re a good person, says the woman who nicknamed herself “Nightmare Angel” because she’s basically the opposite of what an angel is supposed to be, you relay on martial arts and cheating and well, you can’t kick my head off if I keep dodging your kicks and good luck cheating against me whilst I’m flying high, in other words Angel, I’m winning this match and the Victory Championship shot!”

It's that simple.

”The fans are practically dying for an angel to win this match and I’m not just saying that because I have “Dying For An Angel” by Avantasia stuck in my head, it’s because no one wants to read the headline “Florida woman beats two angels to earn championship shot” so sorry Sapphire but you’re out of the running already, that just leaves the two angels to battle it out to win the match and well, I am on a roll, aren’t I?”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”One last one for the road, “Florida woman gets destroyed by angels” so expect that in your near future Sapphire! And Angel? There’s only one angel who’s going to win this match and she is “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye who will kick the Florida woman’s ass again and beat up an Angel along the way to showing that the Skyes the Limit for me once that bell rings and beyond!”

I started my guitar practice as the scene fades.
