Tough Love San Juan, Puerto Rico Off Camera
It’s probably close to one in the morning as a woman dressed in dark clothes can be seen walking into a dimly lit alleyway in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The woman appears to be on some sort of mission as she stops near the back of some building. The neighborhood itself appears to be silent as the woman steps inside the building. A man wearing a dark purple mask with a button down shirt with jeans and a pair of western style boots sits at a large oak wood table where a mug full of coffee is sitting on top of a cork wood coaster.
“Can I get you some coffee?” the man asks in Spanish after giving the woman a nice hug.
“That would be great,” she answers him as he pulls a mug down from the cabinet next to the sink. He pulls the coffee pot off the burner and pours the contents into the mug.
The masked man carefully walks the coffee over towards the table where the woman is sitting. He walks back toward the refrigerator and opens the door. “Do you still put cream in your coffee?” he asks.
The woman just nods her head as he pulls out a bottle of creamer. He pours some into her coffee as she motions that’s enough. “What brings you home Selena?” he asks her while taking a seat next to her. The woman lowers the bandanna around her face and takes a sip of her coffee.
“I need some advice dad,” the woman answers as she stares down at her coffee. The masked man reaches his hand out and places his index finger under her chin.
"Mi hija, what is troubling you?" the masked man asks her while reaching for a napkin with his other hand. The woman looks up from her coffee as a couple strands of blue hair fall out from her skull cap.
"I'm not sure the wrestling business is for me. Everyone thinks you are a fraud," she answers as he lets out a laugh that rumbles the seat. "Que se jodan, mi hija. I watched your match and I was happy that found an outlet for all that rage. I know I haven't been the best father but you have a fighter's spirit," he tells her. She takes a sip of her coffee while listening to her father.
"Why did you send me away when I turned sixteen?" she asks him. "I didn't know how to deal with a teenager. I was busy being the best wrestler here in Puerto Rico. I figured your grandparents in Orlando were better suited for you," he answers her vaguely. She sucks in a deep breath before letting it out slowly. The woman sinks back in her chair while listening to her father tell her that it was basically tough love that he was showing her.
Delgado Compound Orlando, Florida On Camera
It's been several days since Sapphire had returned from a brief trip to Puerto Rico. Although she did get an answer to one question, there were still more answers she was searching for. She figured it was best not to seek them all at once. Vector Rodgers, her boyfriend of five years, had just got back into town after doing a small tour in the Pacific Northwest region of the country. Sapphire is sitting on her front porch with her bare feet dangling over the edge.
This is a surprising turn of events. I never thought a loss would give me a title opportunity. Acid Beth got lucky and that's all I'm going to say about that match. Now I need to focus on four other numb skulls. Two of them will probably forget this match is for the Victory Championship. Angel and Lachlan has some weird love story brewing between them. I'm beginning to wonder if they need a room more than they need a wrestling ring.
Sapphire curls her toes as she leans back on her arms.
El Landerson and Alexander should be grateful that Ophelia even allowed them to be included in this match. Both men have been a disappointment since signing their names on the dotted line. How many times will TJ continue to say that he needs a win? Every time he says it, he loses. That's kind of upsetting. If that was me then I wouldn't continuously say that I need a win. It makes you sound desperate. El Landerson is quite possibly the worst luchador in the world. He talks a big game but can't seem to back it up.
Sapphire reaches beside her as she picks up a metal baseball bat.
What you four need to understand is that you are walking into my wheel house? I was born on the streets of Puerto Rico and raised on the streets of Orlando. If anyone knows how to fight to survive it's me. Angel looks like someone who was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth. TJ Alexander doesn't have the drive or determination to destroy his opposition. This is my kind of match and I will make sure to leave my mark. Blood will flow and I'm not afraid to bleed. I'm not afraid to bust heads to get what I want. I want that Victory Championship and no one is going to keep me from it. I don't care who you are or what level of a superstar you are. That shit means nothing to me. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Then plans go out the window. My plan is to hit hard and fast. I don't have a preference because everyone has a head that I will crack open.
Sapphire looks over at the door as Vector steps out. He sits down behind her as Sapphire leans back against him.
This fight is exactly what I have needed to get myself motivated. I don't think anyone is taking me seriously. That's fine. I'm used to being the underdog. I have no problem making believers out of all of you. You want violence well I'm your girl. You want bloodshed well I can bring that and more. Don't go blaming me if all of your heroes can't walk out after I get done with them. Because I'm not here to please. I'm here to break knees. The Florida Bitch will prove to the world that I am the baddest motherfucker on the planet. Don't believe me. Well, just watch me!
