“Pushing back!”

Chelsea has had one hell of a week, a week that saw the end of her relationship with Ross Hanson and the end of the Skyeson brand! Now the young Chicago native was on her own, she had had moved back to Chicago and for the time being she was staying with her older sister Chloe until she got a place of her own and would be continuing in Rev1 and IWF without Ross, did that mean she was done in her home fed of PWE?

Far from it! In fact, PWE was about to have it’s first PPV and the Go Home Show for the PPV was this week! Chelsea was in tag team action teaming with Klayton Kross to take on relative newcomer Kid Perfect and Zoey Madigan Star AKA the Pro Wrestling Excellence Impulse Champion! This would be a big win for Chelsea but with the recent breakup of Skyeson still fresh on her mind, can she get her head in the game and win?

Where do I fucking start?!

The last time PWE saw me, things were going great, I had moved in with Ross, had my own place in Columbus, was getting a dog for my birthday, so what went wrong? Ross showed his true colours, that’s what went wrong.

I’ll spare you the details but me and Ross are no longer dating, nor will he or any of his associates be near me ever again! Since the breakup I’ve moved in with my older sister Chloe back in Chicago until I get back on my feet and find a place of my own, whether that’s in Chicago or another area remains to be seen but I am slowly but surely getting back to my old self since the breakup, well, my old self if she was interested in learning to play the guitar.

On top of all that shit I have a match coming up for PWE, a tag team match where I’m teaming with Klayton Kross to take on Kid Perfect and the new Impulse Champion Zoey Madigan Star! This match has plenty of implications on its own but when you throw in the fact that this is the final show before PWE’s first ever PPV? Yeah, this is big!

Whether I can concentrate on that with all the shit going on in my personal life is another matter.

“You doing okay back there Chelsea?” Chloe asked as she glanced over at me in the backseat whilst she drove, Chloe hadn’t really said why we were driving out or where we were going, all she said was that I would be interested in coming with her and after everything that’s happened this week? Yeah, spending time with my older sister is a welcome change. “You haven’t spoken much today.”

”Just got a lot on my mind, that’s all.” I shrugged my shoulders in response before resting my head on the palm on my hand whilst leaning on the passenger side door. ”Between my anxiety attacks and the breakup with Ross? It’s been one of those hell weeks.”

“I understand Chelsea but trust me, you’ll bounce back, stronger than ever.” Chloe assured me and I grinned in response. “I know it’s far from the same thing, but you bounced back from the tragedy of Justin’s death and everything that happened afterwards, this should be nothing to you.”

”Yeah well, let’s hope this bounce back doesn’t require me making a suicide attempt.” I responded with a grunt and Chloe winced in response. ”I understand if you think that was out of line, but this is easily the worst I’ve felt since Justin’s death, I had a good thing going with Ross, but it came down in a burning wreckage earlier this week.”

“No Chelsea, I understand why you are saying that! If anything, I should apologize for making that comment!” Chloe responded with a clearly horrified look on her face, and I nodded grimly. “I know that was a dark time for you, but it was just as dark for me, Toni and Liz! We almost lost both of our youngest siblings in the span of three months, I shouldn’t be making comments like that! I’m sorry.”

”How about we just move on? After the week I’ve had, I don’t want to be reminded of the past, not even my porn vids!” I responded, and Chloe nodded in understanding as she pulled into a parking lot. ”Oh, and Chloe?”

“Yeah Chelsea?” Chloe asked as she looked for a parking spot and I did my part to look for one as well.

”Apology accepted.” I responded, and Chloe grinned in response, sure I couldn’t be more different from my sisters but as the old saying goes, blood is thicker than water, after a while I noticed that Chloe was deliberately avoiding some great spots which had me confused. ”Are you looking for someone?”

“Yeah, you could say that.” Chloe nodded as she looked around the parking lot, I could’ve sworn I heard her mumble “they said they’d be here by now” under her breath before she breathed a sigh of relief. “There they are! We’re pulling up Chels.”

”There who are?” I asked as Chloe pulled up close to the store, it wasn’t long before I realized who Chloe meant, Toni and Liz, my middle and eldest sisters respectively, this only confused me further because I knew they knew where Chloe’s apartment was but once Chloe had parked up I got out of the car. ”Wasn’t expecting to see you guys.” I greeted my older sisters as I got out and Toni and Liz grinned.

“Good, that means Chloe did her job!” Liz responded with a playful grin as Chloe got out of the car. “Chelsea before we head in, I wanted to say, sorry about what happened with Ross.”

“Yeah, Chloe showed us the texts.” Toni chimed in as her mood soured. “I had a half a mind to give him a piece of mine, but Chloe and Liz talked me down.”

”Look, I’m just glad that I’m able to move on, from both Ross and Skyeson.” I responded with an annoyed huff and my sisters nodded in understanding. ”So, anyone going to tell me what this is about?”

“You mean you haven’t looked at the store sign yet?” Liz asked and I shook my head before looking up, I’m surprised I didn’t recognize the location sooner, it was the Guitar Centre in Chicago South AKA the area of Chicago where my immediate family lives, I had passed by the shop a few times over the years. “Are you ready to head in?”

”Isn’t it a bit early to shop for my Christmas and birthday present?” I asked as I brushed some hair over my shoulder and my sisters shared a look. ”Halloween hasn’t even happened yet!”

“Chelsea, trust us, your Christmas and Birthday presents will be worth the wait.” Chloe assured me and I glanced over at her. “But we know you’ve had a tough week to put it mildly, so we decided on one thing, why should you wait that long for your first guitar?”

“What Chloe is saying is this, go in there and pick what you want, guitars, amp, tuning pedals, picks, anything.” Liz continued and my grin turned into a broad smile as she handed me their credit cards. “We’ll foot the bill!”

”You guys realize that I’m going to be like a kid in a candy store the moment I set foot inside, right?” I asked with barely contained joy and my sisters nodded before I pulled them into a tight hug. ”I know you’re going to say, “don’t worry about it”, but I’ll try to match this when it comes to your Christmas presents.”

“Only thing that matters is that your happy Chels, but we appreciate the offer none the less.” Toni assured me after I broke the hug. “So, shall we head inside?”

”Like you needed to ask.” I responded with a broad grin before we headed into the store.

Needed that after the past week I’ve had.

I’m not going to say how much I spent at Guitar Centre, all you need to know is that it was over four digits, and this is what I brought, three guitars, a beginners one, the evilest one I could find and one that was recommended by the staff, an amp, tuning pedals, picks, all high end stuff that would’ve cost me an arm and a leg normally but my sisters were happy to pay for it, sure I was hesitant to get the three guitars and initially decided to just get one but my sisters did insist that I treat myself.

And right as I was getting ready for dinner I got a Skype Call, from a good friend of mine.

“Chels, I’m sorry I didn’t call sooner but I’ve been busy.” Krystal apologized as the Australian woman shook her head. “So busy that I literally just saw your last tweet about Ross, sorry it didn’t work out.”

”I’ll send you a screenshot of the texts he sent me after the call but trust me, Ross showed me his true colours this week.” I sighed as I leaned forward. ”I’ve moved back to Chicago until I get back on my feet, staying with Chloe for the time being.”

“At the very least, you have family and friends who’ll support you.” Krystal nodded with a small smile, and I grinned. “And I saw the tweet about the guitars, I can probably recommend a teacher if you’re still looking.”

”Unlike Ross’s true colours, that was the good kind of surprise, I was like a kid in a candy store!” I admitted with a massive grin on my face before motioning to my new guitars. ”I’ve had a bit of practice but me and my sisters agreed that I should save any lessons until I have a place of my own, at least in person ones, Chloe’s fine with me doing it over Skype and the like.”

“Hey, why not? Pretty much everything moved online during last year!” Krystal joked and I grinned in response. “How are you doing mentally? I know you were feeling down when we talked on Tuesday.”

”I was down for a day or so, even cried myself to sleep the same night I broke off the relationship.” I admitted as I lowered my head and Krystal gave me a sympathetic look. ”I guess being around Chloe has helped speed up things, she’s close to my age and we share a few things in common, sense of humour included.”

“That explains why Carter hit if off with her so well at least!” Krystal responded with a small smile, and I nodded. “How long is the arrangement for?”

”As long as it takes really, but I am actively looking for places! For obvious reasons it’ll be smaller than the house I had with Ross but for a single woman, that’s perfect!” I pointed out and Krystal nodded. ”I will be aiming for a decent sized lawn I still want to get a dog at some point.”

“All I can really say is don’t put your eggs in one basket again and good luck with getting a new place.” Krystal informed me and I nodded in agreement. “I’ve got to go because Makayla should be wrapping up dinner soon.”

”Yeah, I think the same applies to Chloe actually.” I nodded before we went to end the Skype call. ”Tell Ari I said hi.”

“I will, see you.” Krystal responded before we ended the Skype call.

Where to begin?

”I may as well go ahead and say it, I’m no longer with Ross Hanson, and the breakup was a bad one, most women in my position would probably try to take a break before jumping into the ring but I can’t afford to do that now so instead I’m pushing forward and that push forward starts this week, and will continue at the next Victory where I team up with Klayton Kross to take on Kid Perfect and the Impulse Champion Zoey Madigan Star!”

Time to bounce back.

”I don’t know if you noticed but these days I’m in two other feds as well as PWE, namely IWF and Wrestling Revolution1, why do I bring them up? I have wins in those feds, PWE on the other hand? It’s been four shows and not once have I won a match! That needs to change and I’m not about to give up on the first fed where I got my first big break, but I can’t go winless forever!”

First up is Zoey!

”And what better way to bounce back than to pick up a win over PWE’s resident Sorceress Supreme? That’s right Zoey, I’m talking about you, and well, you’re the new Impulse Champion, the fans eyes are on you, looking to see if you’ll fail or rise above the rest! Would be a shame if you lost your first match as champion, wouldn’t it Zoey? Especially to someone without a win to her name?”

For you at least.

”This is my big chance, and I can’t let anything stop me at this point in my career! I’ve removed the two hundred pounds of mulleted dead weight that was holding me back and that’s bad news for you Zoey! I will give you everything I’ve got and more in this tag team match and eventually finally pick up the win that I’ve been pursuing for the past four PWE Shows, the fact that it’ll be over the current Impulse Champion will make things that much sweeter!”

Next up is Kid Perfect!

”Okay, first off, what year is this? Because the last time I saw a wrestler unironically put “kid” in front of their name was the fucking mid-2000s and yet, here I am, taking on a wrestler called Kid Perfect in his second PWE Match! The pressure must be on you, huh kid? Teaming up with the Impulse Champion on your second match? The pressure must be piling on high right?”

Yes? Good!

”I hope it does because you buckling under the pressure is perfect for us! No pun intended! Setting aside the dated name, from what I could gather kid you’re a lucha style wrestler who still feels the need to cheat in the ring, well good luck cheating against this metal chick! Because I will be ready for any of your cheating attempts once that bell rings and I will out wrestler you and Zoey on the path to my first win in Pro Wrestling Excellence! And from there? Well, we’ll have to see at the PPV, won’t we?”

It’s that simple.

”I won’t say that this is do or die for me, what I will say is that I need to break this losing streak ASAP and against competitors like Zoey and Kid Perfect? The victory will be that much sweeter! I can only hope that Klayton holds up his end of the bargain in this match and allows us to shock the world by making the new Impulse Champion lose her first match as champion! And Kid Perfect? Try to keep up or get tossed by the wayside!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Okay, I’m going to be completely honest here because I’m not about to lie and say that this has been a fun week for me, but I’m emerging from the week a stronger woman and if there is a better place to showcase that than in this tag team match with Klayton against Zoey and Kid Perfect then I don’t want to hear it! I am the “Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye and when that bell rings, the Skyes the Limit!”

I went to get some guitar practice in as the scene fades.
