“I’m Not Done!”

Chelsea’s last chance at entering 2023 as a champion was not to be because despite a valiant effort against Jason Long but Chelsea, who was now entering her third full year as a wrestler, wasn’t giving up just yet! And at the first Victory of the year she was taking on Nathanial Dixon in singles action in what was a return belt! Can the young metalhead wrestler kick off the new year with a win?

Is it appropriate to call 2022 a hot mess of a year? At least as it relates to my wrestling career!

Started off well enough as I had the Rev1 International Championship and the SRW Overdrive Championships in my grasp and my career was going well, then I lost the International Championship through bullshit means and Rev1 went on hiatus, then SRW announced its hiatus and I lost the Overdrive Championship on their last show under that umbrella!

SRW would later rebrand as CEW and I got thrown back into the Overdrive Championship picture but the same can’t be said for Rev1, as for EWC? Don’t even get me started, that’s my best paying wrestling gig but my first year with them was nothing short of a disaster.

As for PWE? Well after they went on hiatus and came back (with me being announced before that fucking cat again) I’ve been trying to get my hands on a title with the ladder match against Jason being my last attempt! It’s gotten so bad that I’ve gone and joined a new company based out of Japan called Miracle Galaxy Pro (mostly thanks to my main band Krawling Khaos making our international debut over there on Tuesday) and we’ll see if that gamble pays off.

”Capatains Log, Star Date: 69420.” I muttered to myself as I checked my twitter page for, well, anything really. ”Another stinking year done! Here’s hoping that 2023 will be better than 2022.”

”Didn’t know that you were a Star Trek fan.” Sarah commented as she walked up to me and I glanced over at my fiancé before she kissed me on the neck from behind. ”And last year wasn’t all that bad, we got engaged, you got into porn and started Sadistick Ragecution.”

”Oh sure! Outside the ring 2022 was great! But since wrestling is my main gig, that’s at the forefront of what I think off when I think of 2022!” I grumbled in response before switching to my YouTube Tab to see if any new videos had been uploaded by my favourite channels. ”And you know all about my frustrations during last year! The end of my title reigns, my first year with EWC, Rev1 and SRW going on hiatus! At least MGP will give me a chance at a fresh start when they start up!”

”Chelsea, one of these days you’re going to get les fixated on your win/loss records across these different promotions!” Sarah responded as she shook her head ad I rolled my eyes in response. ”I know you’ve been after your third title reign for a bit under a year now, but you’ve never gone down without a fight and that’s what the fans love you for!”

”I DON’T WANT TO BE KNOWN AS A PERPETUAL CHOKE ARTIST! I WANT TO BE KNOWN AS A BAD ASS BEATER OF WORLDS!” I snapped at my fiancé and quickly regretted it when I saw the look on Sarah’s face. ”Sorry Sarah but that’s still a sore spot for me!”

”It’s fine Chelsea, I understand, I was just trying to help.” Sarah sighed in response and before I could say anything else I heard our dog barking and looked up seeing our Black Labrador Valkyrie standing there with her tail wagging. ”Either she came to see what the commotion was about she wants to go out or she’s hungry.”

”She’s a Labrador, she can go either way.” I responded with a shrug before I stood up and walked up to the doogo. ”Paw.” I said as I held out my outstretched right hand and Valkyrie put her paw in that hand after a second, after shaking it for a bit I let go of the dog’s paw and let her put it down before holding out my other outstretched hand. ”Other paw.” I instructed the doogo and she repeated the previous instruction albeit with her left paw this time. ”Valkyrie’s in a playful mood so I doubt she wants to go out.” I added as I turned to Sarah.

”She probably wants food then.” Sarah summarised and that was confirmed when Valkyrie started bouncing around at the utterance of the f word. ”Do you want some dinner Val?” Sarah asked in a high-pitched voice and Valkyrie barked in response. ”It’s getting close to dinner time anyway I think I’d better start on dinner for us too!”

”May I suggest we use that Wagyu Ribeye we brought with the money we got from Krawling Khaos’s debut show in Japan?” I suggested and Sarah quickly nodded in agreement. ”Just don’t emulate that clip I saw on Fucked Up Looking Food!”

”Babe, we brought that and several other wagyu steaks whilst we were in Japan, if I did that too steaks that expensive I’d call off the wedding for you!” Sarah responded with a laugh as she shook her head and I grinned before she headed into the kitchen.,

Time to put my new HD Camera to work!

”So, how do I look? Pretty fucking good right? Well I should because this is the first promo I’m filming on the HD Camera that my sister got me for my birthday last month! Now you get to see little old me in perfect clarity, warts, and all!” I exclaimed happily before pausing to think about that last part. ”I don’t have any warts, right? Great, I’m going to be checking myself in the mirror once all is said and done, I just know it! But speaking of last month, why don’t we talk about the dumpster fire that was my 2022?”

Do we have too?

”Seriously, the only thing that went right for me as a wrestler last year was the fact that I joined EWC and they’ve been my highest paying wrestling gig! Aside from that? Everything was a hot mess and I’m looking to make 2023 the year that “The Nightmare Angel” explodes onto the wrestling scene! And that starts at the first PWE Victory of the year where I’m going one on one with Nathanial Dixon!”

And here’s the confusing part!

”A match that’s being billed as a return match when we’ve never faced off in singles competition Nate! I mean the closest thing I could find was a massive clusterfuck of a battle royal at some PPV and that involved me going all the way back to the initial losing streak!” I commented as I shook my head. ”The fact that you’ve made me relive the hell that was my first few months as a mainstream wrestler makes me want to kick your ass even more and I hope your happy! But in all seriousness? I wouldn’t have cared who I got put up against because my reputation as a choke artist is ending this year and you Nate are my first step towards achieving that goal!”

And cue the obvious jokes!

”Yeah, yeah I know! I’m a porn star who’s complaining about being a choke artist, get your giggles out of your system now!” I commented as I rolled my eyes. ”But let me put it this way, if I were promoting one of my films, I’d be wearing a lot less clothing assuming that I was even wearing any to begin with! But no, when I say choke artist, I mean my days as I wrestler who always falls short when a massive opportunity is put in front of her are over, not as someone who likes to be choked in the bedroom! It's that simple.

”The end of 2022 was just the start and 2023 will be the year when people finally realize that I’m the future of this business whether they like it or not! Sure the dinosaurs of the wrestling world will complain about modern wrestling being nothing like the sport they know but as the sport continues to evolve and they go extinct, I’ll continue to soar higher, Nate? You are just the start on my path to glory!” I added before grinning broadly. ”A steppingstone if you will!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Sorry to disappoint you Nate but there’s no other way this match can go as far as I’m concerned because I’ve been struggling in this company for too long and I’m not done trying to break that reputation!” I stated as I folded my arms. ”And yet there are still idiots out there who think of me as the girl who wrestled a cat once, no more! Because from now on when people think of “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye, they’ll think of one of the best young wrestlers in the world and Nate will find that out the hard way unless he watches the Skyes Above, otherwise he’ll learn why the Skyes the Limit!”

I left the promo dungeon as the scene fades.
