"This World Will Never Be What I Expected!"

The Number One Contender’s Match for Zoey Madigan Star’s Impulse Championship saw Chelsea’s most valiant effort yet but in the end Tara Ayla was able to get the pin on Acid Beth! However, the finish wasn’t without controversy as despite the match being a Fatal Four Way which also featured William Blake Mason and La Angelucera Chelsea’s attempt at breaking up the win on Acid Beth would get cut off not once but twice by La Angelucera!

Why would :a Angelucera intentionally cost herself a potential title shot? Those questions would get answered soon but if there was one person who was probably more frustrated than Chelsea at the match result it was the champion herself who had wanted to see Chelsea succeed! Now at Victory XI the two women would face off in non-title action but whilst a win here would be huge for Chelsea you could bet that Tara and Angelucera weren’t going to be far away from this match, can Chelsea finally get her first win in PWE?

It’s an old phrase but in regard to my PWE career it’s one that I’ve been hearing a lot since I signed with the company back in August, got eliminated during the Battle Royal Stage of the Victory I Tournament because I was caught in the moment? Better luck next time, lost my first ever main event to the Aylas after La Amdalucera interfered? Better luck next time as I watch my boyfriend at the time quit on the spot! Lost to Nathanial Cartwright in my first singles match? Better luck next time, get robbed of what should’ve been my first win after Klayton Kross decided to take the glory for himself and fucked up so royally that he retired?

Better luck next time! And don’t even get me started on what happened at Annihilation!

In all honestly? Between that the dissolution of Skyeson, I think I would’ve quit the business all together out of sheer frustration if I hadn’t joined other feds and signed up for the Tara Fenix Charity Cruise but because I joined Rev1, IWF (and left that fed after the Olympians Tournament wrapped up) and later Level Up wrestling I’m persevering no matter what, and on the side? I picked up the Electric Guitar and I’ve got my own Death Metal band now called Krawling Khaos as a direct result of that, and I’ve since found love again in the form of Sarah Blaze.

In other words? For all my frustrations with my in-ring career, I’ve at least got an outlet where I can take out that frustration in a healthy way, even if said frustration is starting to impact my ability to play the guitar.

“Chelsea, you’re going to have to do that chord again.” Taylor, my guitar teacher and the second guitarist in Krawling Khaos, said with a sigh as the rest of the bandmates watched on from the side, we were in the middle of a lesson and to say things weren’t going well was an understatement. “You mixed up the order going up and down the neck again, I know you want to get to rehearsing for the debut show but…….

”I know! I know!” I grunted in annoyance as I looked down at my beginner guitar, Krawling Khaos’s debut show was next week and at this point any rehearsal we could get was valuable, however Taylor wanted to make sure that things were up to snuff before we jumped into that, Taylor motioned for me to start when I was ready, and I started on the C-Major Chord.

It was slow going but I managed to play the C-Major chord flawlessly (well, as flawlessly as someone who’s only been playing for about a month can play it) and I breathed a sigh of relief as soon as I hit the target note. “Okay, I think that’s all for today’s lesson.” Taylor commented after checking the time on her iPhone “Chelsea, you know you can talk to us, what’s eating at you? You’ve been making great progress but it’s clear as day that something was impacting your ability to play.”

”It was that obvious, huh?” I sighed before sitting down on a nearby chair. ”I’m just frustrated at how much I’m fucking up! And no, this has nothing to do with my guitar playing because you said it yourself, I’ve been making great strides for a beginner, but the frustration stems from everything going on in my PWE Career.” I explained, and my bandmates nodded as they got the idea. ”And yeah, I left IWF after the Olympians wrapped up but if I don’t leave feds just because I’m losing a lot!”

“We get that Chelsea but even we can see that you’re struggling in PWE.” Julian, the band’s bassist commented and his boyfriend Trent, our drummer, nodded in agreement. “And I know you said not to bring it up but your match at Annihilation is clearly playing and part.”

”You’ll get your first win in PWE eventually Chelsea, I’m sure of it.” Sarah assured me as my girlfriend, who also happened to be the band’s singer, walked up to me. ”Even if it’s your next match against Zoey Madigan Star.”

”You mean the title match that I should’ve earned at Annihilation?!” I snapped at my girlfriend who took a step back, I let out a deep breath as I got my guitar into position. ”Sorry babe, that’s still a sore subject for me and unless I do win my match against Zoey I don’t see it getting any better if we’re being honest!” I quickly apologized to Sarah, and she nodded in understanding.

“How about we just move onto rehearsals? If that doesn’t take your mind off all things PWE, nothing will!” Trent suggested and we nodded in agreement before Trent got into position behind the drumkit.

It’s been a few days, sure, but my frustration over my PWE status is still there.

I’m trying to put that aside for my date with Sarah but that is proving to be easier said than done for a number of reasons, we’re in a steakhouse in my home city of Chicago and as much as I love a good medium rare steak, I can’t shake the frustration.

”Chels? Chels?” Sarah called out to me, but I was too busy daydreaming whilst looking at the restaurant’s menu, otherwise I would’ve noticed the waitress standing beside me. ”Super Bottom!”

”I told you, I’m better on top!” I responded bluntly before blushing furiously when I saw the waitress who, for her part, was trying not to laugh as she took our starter order. ”Err, I mean, I’ll take the Sizzling Shrimp for my starter.”

”And I’ll take the Tenderloin Steak Tartare.” Sarah added, and the waitress nodded before she quickly walked off. ”Something on your mind babe?”

”You mean besides the fact that you called me “Super Bottom” in a crowded restaurant?” I asked Sarah with an annoyed look on my face, and she just shook her head with a giggle. ”I’m still boiling over because of what happened at Annihilation! Why the hell did Andalucera run interference and stop me from breaking up the pin on Acid Beth?! It wasn’t a tag team match it was a Fatal Five Way to determine Zoey Star’s first challenger!”

”I know, I’ve been wondering the same thing since you told me about the match’s outcome,” Sarah responded with a sympathetic nod as she looked over the menu. ”But you know it’s unhealthy to keep this stuff bottled up, right?”

”I’ve heard that enough times from my sister Liz, and her PHD is in medicine not psychology!” I responded as I shook my head and Sarah nodded as she got the idea. ”But up to this point my remedy has been the tried and true method of taking it out on my opponents once the bell rings.”

”And how well has that worked out for you?” Sarah asked, and I went to answer but couldn’t find the words. ”Be honest!”

”About as well as my attempts to get you to stop calling me Super Bottom!” I grunted in annoyance before I spotted our food coming out of the kitchen, at least I assumed it was our food, well it was confirmed when the waitress started walking towards our table. ”Let’s just enjoy our food for now!” I added before motioning behind Sarah and she looked over her shoulder at the waitress coming our way with the food.

This is getting ridiculous.

”You know, having my first win snatched from me once was bad enough but twice? It’s times like these that I have to ask, “are they fucking serious?!” and thus week at Victory V I at least get the match that I should’ve earned at Annihilation, except it’s a non-title match against Zoey Madigan Star that she’s basically granting me out of pity because of how badly I got fucked over at Annihilation!”

Don’t try to say otherwise.

”And I can already hear the comments “PWE’s Twitter didn’t say that” the same Twitter that didn’t announce me until AFTER a fucking cat? Give me a break! “Zoey felt disrespected after Annihilation” I don’t doubt for a second that she does but let’s be real, PWE knows that I got fucked over at Annihilation and is basically giving me a pity non-title match, well you know what?! I don’t need your pity, what I need is my first fucking win in PWE!”

Seriously!

”I’ve brought this up before but outside of PWE I’m having far greater success, I’m the Number One Contender for the International Championship in Rev1 and before I left that fed I was picking up wins in IWF, I’m sure that trend will continue when I debut for Level Up but before then I have a question to answer, if I’m being so successful outside of PWE, why not leave PWE? And to tell you the truth? I’ve considered it.”

So, what’s keeping me there?

”But I only considered it briefly because for all the bullshit I’ve put up with in my life, I’ve never let a minor setback like a losing streak stop me! I had to give up on my Olympics Dreams because of my brother’s death and a broken leg so something like a losing streak? That won’t stop me Zoey, no matter how often victory gets snatched away from me I will keep fighting and that win will come, even if it’s against the current Impulse Champion!”

I know that’s a big if.

”I know how big an if that is Zoey, you are the Impulse Champion for a damn good reason, but I will fight tooth and nail to finally get my first win in PWE, why? Because I’m the only one who’s been in PWE since day one who has yet to get their first win and that needs to change fast! Zoey you’ve been nothing but respectful towards me on Twitter and I appreciate that, but respect only gets you so far in this business.”

And you know it!

”But at the end of the night, only one woman will come out of this match the winner and even without my losing streak, everyone’s money is on the Impulse Champion’s seemingly inevitable win over the admittedly talented but still inexperienced rookie, well, I’m going to make a lot of gamblers in Vegas unhappy at Victory V because this is the match that will end my losing streak and you can bet on that!”

This streak ends

”Even without the losing streak I’m facing an uphill battle, Zoey’s a lot more experienced than me and I know that’s not saying much considering that the two year anniversary of my wrestling school graduation is coming up in two weeks’ time, but this won’t be the first time I’ve gotten wins over wrestlers more experienced than me, and it won’t be the last, it just so happens that Zoey is the Impulse Champion!”

It's that simple.

”This world will never be what I expected, those are the opening lines to “Never Too Late” by Three Days Grace and they seem apt for me heading into this match because of two reasons, I never expected to having a losing streak in my first major promotion that lasts for months and I never expected that La Andalucera would intentionally cost herself a title match against you Zoey just to fuck with me, this match was spawned from that incident at Annihilation and it’s like I said, it’s basically the bosses pitying me because I got screwed over!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”I never asked for or wanted your pity, but you know what? I’ll take this opportunity to show the wrestling world what would’ve happened if I had won the match at Annihilation and went onto challenge Zoey for the title, Zoey you are the champion for a reason, but this is a must win match for me and once that bell rings “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye will show you why the Skye’s the Limit!”

I went downstairs to get some practice done as the scene fades.
